There are hardly any tourists who don’t go to Gili Trawangan when they go to Lombok , this island is a kind of must-visit destination since decades ago. Gili Trawangan geographically is one of several other beautiful dyke, namely Gili Air and Gili Meno.
Inevitably I also visited Gili Trawangan. This island for me is fun, has amazing underwater natural beauty, natural conditions that are still natural and far from the hustle and bustle of motorized vehicles, who doesn’t want to come here?
If you’ve been to Gili Trawangan, even though the island is small, the facilities on Gili Trawangan are quite complete. Don’t worry about accommodation in Gili Trawangan, there are lots of hotels in Gili Trawangan to choose from, for example here . In a relaxed Gili Trawangan, there are fun things to do, exploring Gili Trawangan can also be combined with various exciting activities, such as the following:
1. Swim
and the waters on Gili Trawangan are fun. The beach that surrounds Gili Trawangan is fairly clean and clear. The tempting aroma of the sea must be enjoyed during your stay in Gili Trawangan.
There are many swimming spots along the beach, tourists and I are free to swim around the beach. The water is calm and it is very easy to swim here. But remember, there are safe swimming limits that have been marked. My advice is, don’t go beyond that limit for your own safety.
Don’t worry about swimming equipment, on Gili Trawangan there are lots of swimming equipment rentals. So no need to bother bringing it yourself.
2. Water Sports
Besides swimming, I usually also play water sports on Gili Trawangan. There are many types such as water skiing , paddle board , surfing , banana boat , and so on. But remember, this water sports package on Gili Trawangan is a little expensive, so you have to spend a little deeper if you want to try the fun.
3. Snorkeling
Snorkeling is like a mandatory menu on Gili Trawangan, the underwater conditions that are still relatively good in Gli Trawangan make the waters around Gili Trawangan a favorite spot for snorkeling.
If you want to snorkel here, there are lots of snorkeling packages offered by operators on the island. Usually this package will take tourists around the three dyke and then stop to snorkel at several points.
This snorkeling package is usually all day and includes lunch and snack facilities. So tourists who want to snorkel do not need to bother, just register for a package and can snorkel to their heart’s content.
4. Diving
So if you want more adventure, you can try diving on Gili Trawangan. But remember, before that you must have a diving license, considering the risk is greater. I don’t recommend beginners to join this package, it’s better to take a license first.
For beginners, maybe you can take the Discovery Scuba Diving package provided by several diving operators. This package includes diving training for two hours before entering the water and enjoying the underwater beauty of Gili Trawangan.
5. Bike
Gili Trawangan is an island full of bicycles. Because motorized vehicles are prohibited here, bicycles are the alternative.
For me, when I arrived on Gili Trawangan, what I did was usually rent a bicycle. The coastline of Gili Trawangan is only 7.5 km in total. So Gili Trawangan apparently can still be surrounded in a not too long time by bicycle.
6. Ride Cidomo
Cidomo is a local wisdom in Gili Trawangan, this gig is only available on this island. Like bicycles, Cidomo is on Gili Trawangan because there are no motorized vehicles on this island.
Once you arrive on the Gilis, there are many Cidomo drivers waiting for you. If you want, tourists can rent a cidomo to explore all parts of Gili Trawangan. Cidomo can also be used to carry suitcases or heavy equipment brought by tourists to hotels on Gili Trawangan. But remember, bargain before deciding to rent Cidomo.
7. Horseback Riding Around the Island
It complements Cidomo and is starting to sell well lately. There are several horse rentals on Gili Trawangan and tourists can enjoy touring the island by horse. Pleasant.
8 . Watching Movies on the Beach
This activity is quite interesting for me. For a moviegoers like me, watching movies is an obligation. What’s different here is watching a movie while enjoying the swish of the beach and the open air, the sensation is definitely different from watching it in the cinema.
